Pasta in Golden Tahini Sauce

Ingredients

  • Brown Rice Penne Brown Rice Penne 250g 2 & 1/2 cups
  • Tahini Tahini 3 tbsp 3 tbsp
  • Lemon Lemon 1 1
  • Garlic Garlic 1 clove 1 clove
  • Small Onions Small Onions 2 2
  • Ground Turmeric Ground Turmeric 1.5 tsp 1.5 tsp
  • Rice Syrup Rice Syrup 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
  • Nutritional Yeast Nutritional Yeast 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
  • Olive Oil Olive Oil 3 tbsp 3 tbsp
  • Table Salt Table Salt pinch pinch
  • Fresh Parsley Fresh Parsley handful 1/3 cup
  • Tempeh Tempeh 200g 1 & 1/4 cups

Instructions

  1. 1.Cook brown rice penne until al dente.
  2. 2.In a small pan heat 2 tbsp olive oil and fry diced onions and minced garlic until translucent.
  3. 3.Add onions, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, turmeric, leftover olive oil and salt to a high speed blender and blend until creamy and smooth.
  4. 4.Fry tempeh in a pan until crispy.
  5. 5.Pour sauce over pasta and garnish with tempeh and parsley.
