Almond Pastry Fingers

We can't get enough of these vegan and gluten free almond pastry treats! They're crispy, light and a real joy to make! Try yourself and add them to your personal weekly meal planner!

Gluten Free Dairy Free Under 30 mins

Ingredients

* Switch between cup/oz and g/ml in Account Settings*

  • Puff Pastry Puff Pastry 1 sheet 1 sheet
  • Vegan Butter Vegan Butter 2 tsp 2 tsp
  • Powdered Sugar Icing Sugar 25g 1/5 cup
  • Maple Syrup Maple Syrup 1 tsp 1 tsp
  • Almond Flakes Almond Flakes 80g 1 cup

Instructions

  1. 1.Preheat the oven to 170?C.
  2. 2.Mix the melted vegan butter, sugar and maple syrup in a small bowl.
  3. 3.Spread out your puff pastry sheet gently and brush on the butter and sugar.
  4. 4.Sprinkle the almond flakes evenly over the sheet and place cling film on top, pressing it down or rolling it gently onto the pastry.
  5. 5.Remove the cling film, cut the pastry into 2 x 5 cm strips, you should be able to make around 15 strips.
  6. 6.Place the strips onto a lined baking tray leaving at least a 5cm space between each one.
  7. 7.Bake for 10 minutes until they are puffy and golden on top.
  8. 8.Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  9. 9.If you would prefer sweeter fingers you can brush another layer of melted butter and sprinkle on a couple teaspoons of sugar before you serve.
