Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

This is our new favorite vegan snack! Chickpeas sprinkled with chili, paprika and cumin and gently roasted in the oven. Incredibly easy to make, tasty and healthy!

Ingredients

* Switch between cup/oz and g/ml in Account Settings*

  • Chickpeas in Water Chickpeas in Water 800g 4 cups
  • Olive Oil Olive Oil 60ml 1/4 cup
  • Garlic Garlic 2 cloves 2 cloves
  • Sea Salt Sea Salt 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chili Flakes Crushed Chillies 1 tsp 1 tsp
  • Ground Cumin Ground Cumin 1 tsp 1 tsp
  • Paprika Paprika 1 tsp 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. 1.Preheat oven to 220C.
  2. 2.Drain and rinse chickpeas and allow to air dry in a single layer for a minimum of 15min.
  3. 3.Place chickpeas in a medium sized bowl, add olive oil, sea salt and crushed garlic.
  4. 4.Add coated chickpeas to a baking tray and drizzle with olive oil and sea salt.
  5. 5.Cook for 30 to 40min, stirring every 10min, until golden and crispy.
  6. 6.Remove chickpeas from oven.
  7. 7.Combine spices and chilli flakes in a medium mixing bowl, add chickpeas and toss to combine
  8. 8.Season to taste and serve immediately.
