Homemade Seeded Spelt Bread

Learn to bake your own homemade loaf with this simple yet delicious seeded spelt bread recipe. A dense and flavorful loaf, infused with sweet maple syrup and topped with pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds and golden linseed!

Ingredients

* Switch between cup/oz and g/ml in Account Settings*

  • Spelt Flour Spelt Flour 500g 2 cups
  • Pumpkin Seeds Pumpkin Seeds 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
  • Sunflower Seeds Sunflower Seeds 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
  • Golden Linseed Golden Linseed 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
  • Flax Seeds Flax Seeds 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
  • Sesame Seeds Sesame Seeds 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
  • Seed Mix Seed Mix 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
  • Instant Yeast Instant Yeast 10g 3 tsp
  • Table Salt Table Salt 10g 2/3 tbsp
  • Water Water 375ml 1 & 1/2 cups
  • Maple Syrup Maple Syrup 1 tsp 1 tsp
  • Olive Oil Olive Oil 1 tbsp 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. 1.Lightly oil a loaf tin and set aside.
  2. 2.Combine flour, seeds, yeast and salt in a large bowl.
  3. 3.Pour in the maple syrup and mid-warm water.
  4. 4.Mix until dough is soft and sticky (not runny or lumpy).
  5. 5.Scoop dough into the prepared tin, cover with lightly oiled cling film and leave to rise at room temperatur for 1hr, or until it has doubled in size.
  6. 6.Preheat oven to 200c.
  7. 7.Remove cling film, brush top of dough with olive oil and sprinkle with seed mixture.
  8. 8.Bake for 30min or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the bread comes out clean.
  9. 9.Let the bread cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. 10.Enjoy!
